Works complete on large scale renovation in Wormit, Fife

We’re delighted to share the completion of a substantial renovation and extension to a family home in Wormit.

The project involved a comprehensive reworking of the existing house, with the aim of creating brighter, more generous living spaces and making the most of its wonderful elevated position overlooking the River Tay.

A key part of the design was opening the house towards the view. Large areas of glazing now frame the landscape and bring natural light deep into the interior, while the revised layout creates a much stronger connection between the kitchen, dining and living spaces.

Internally, warm timber flooring and joinery are combined with natural stone, soft neutral finishes and carefully considered lighting to give the contemporary spaces a comfortable, residential character. The new living area is organised around a dramatic stone fireplace, with full-height glazing providing an uninterrupted backdrop across the Tay.

The result is a significantly transformed family home that feels more open, connected and responsive to its setting, while retaining the character and warmth of a well-established house.
