Fernlea Extension, Bridge of Earn

A small extension and renovation project just outside Perth. Our client's brief was to undertake a feasibility study to figure out a better layout for their family home. The house was large but the rooms did not seem to fit together with the current layout. Our first task was to figure out how our clients wanted to use the living spaces and then look to find a way of providing this while keeping the character of the existing building.

The solution was to move the kitchen to the existing dining room and extend to the rear to create a purpose built living and dining space suitable for modern living. Careful design and detailing were use to ensure no overlooking or blocking of daylight to the neighbouring properties.
